CLAIRMONT'S STAFF

Pastor Megan was installed as Clairmont's pastor in the Spring of 2022 after serving 15 years in ordained ministry as an associate pastor in the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. Nurtured in the Christian faith as a child of Christian parents, and loved with the love of Jesus by Sunday School teachers, Choir Directors, Youth Group leaders, and the larger body of Christ, Megan is deeply grateful for the ways in which the church ~ both the local churches to which she has belonged and in which she has worked ~ and the church of Jesus, His body in the world, has formed and reformed her faith through the proclamation and teaching of the Word and the invitation to serve the world which God so loves.

A creative writer and lover of words, Megan pursues a deepening faith through the Spiritual Disciplines of poetry, prayer, Scriptural study. However, the mission and ministries of Clairmont provided the deepest draw for her to this call, as CPC serves the local community through on-campus tutoring, locally based support for those experiencing food insecurity, and housing for refugees and those transitioning from unhoused to housed.

Megan and her husband, Eric, who serves the international community as the General Counsel of CARE, have lived in Decatur since 2005 and have three sons, Scott and Phinehas, both students at Furman University, and Leif who is in sixth grade. The family shares their home with an unruly and totally lovable golden-doodle named Theophilus.
